We started that project, reflecting on our life and surroundings, and we did not know where it would lead us. We still do not know exactly, but we took some people along aleady.
We put ourselves in it, in the body, the cypher and the love. I am still moved, every time I watch the video. Just cannot get enaugh. Thank you Tanya, you are an amazing poet, and a rock-star scholar, thank you Christina, you are a wonderful singer, and I love your deep and sophisticated thoughts.
When we show the video, we ask people to close their eyes and listen to Christina sing. Only, when Christina is finished, start the video.
We wrote a text for Dr. Browns´ Hip Hop Feminism Anthology, and if it wasn´t for Copyright I would post it here, because it turned out to be amazing. Sorry. But you can still buy the book in fall….
